Certified USDA Organic · Mancelona, Michigan
Award-winning maple syrup from the banks of the Green River
For four years running — 2022 through 2025 — our Dark/Robust syrup has placed first, second, or third at the North American Maple Syrup Council’s annual conference. We’re Ron and Kenna Rhynard, and every drop we sell comes from our own trees, boiled over a wood fire in the woods north of Mancelona.

The award record
Judged with the best syrup in North America
Every year, the North American Maple Syrup Council’s annual conference gathers producers from across the United States and Canada. Syrup is judged against USDA standards for color, clarity, density, and flavor.
Our Dark/Robust has placed first, second, or third there four years in a row — 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. We’re proud of that, and prouder still of what’s behind it: our own trees, careful boiling over a wood-fired evaporator, and no shortcuts.
The syrup
Two grades, four sizes, one source
Everything we bottle is pure Michigan maple syrup from our own sugarbush — certified organic, and never blended with anyone else’s. Choose the grade that suits your table.
Dark / Robust The award winner
Deep color and a pronounced maple flavor. This is the grade that has placed at the North American Maple Syrup Council’s annual conference four years running.
Amber / Rich
Lighter in color with a smooth, rounded maple taste — the classic table syrup for pancakes and waffles.

Who we are
A husband-and-wife camp, 2,600 taps and counting
In 2019 we bought 34 acres on the Green River, just north of Mancelona, where a small syrup operation was already at work. We’ve been growing it ever since — more than 2,600 taps now, a wood-fired evaporator, and organic certification across the operation.
We never bottle syrup bought from other producers. If it has our name on it, it came from our trees and our hands.
